# ACH (Automated Clearing House)

## Overview

ACH is the primary bank payment rail in the United States, governed by Nacha. It supports both debiting funds from a customer's US bank account (fund) and crediting funds to a customer's US bank account (withdraw). Transactions are denominated in **USD**. Standard ACH typically settles in 1–2 business days; Same-Day ACH is available for faster settlement when supported.

## Use Cases

* **Vendor and Supplier Payments** — Send payments directly to a US vendor or supplier's bank account on a scheduled or on-demand basis.
* **Customer Collections** — Pull funds from a customer's US bank account for invoices, subscriptions, or outstanding balances.
* **Payroll** — Disburse employee pay to US bank accounts with support for standard and same-day settlement.
* **Recurring Billing** — Automate ongoing collections for subscription-based businesses with scheduled ACH debits.
* **B2B Settlements** — Settle large inter-company transactions more cost-effectively than wire or card rails.
* **Same-Day Disbursements** — Use Same-Day ACH to accelerate time-sensitive payouts within US business hours.
