Payments Overview
Learn about VoPay's payment capabilities and functions.
Overview
VoPay's payment engine is designed to enable businesses to send and collect payments using multiple payment rails.
Our suite of payment methods consists of enhanced legacy bank payment rails, proprietary real-time payment rails, and push and pull card processing, among others.
Our payment rails can be embedded into existing software, or utilized as a stand-alone solution through our Payment Portal.
VoPay layers multiple tools and enhancements on top of our payment methods, such as recurring payments, automation, payment links, and more.

VoPay supports multiple payment methods for businesses that want to originate payments in Canada and US. Some payment methods allow businesses to transact domestically, while others can be used to process payments internationally.
Canada & US Bank Payments
If you intend on processing bank account payments in both Canada and the US, make sure you learn the differences between the two payment schemes.
Payments can be initiated through our APIs, or on our Portal. Please see a list of our supported payment methods at the bottom of this page.
Orchestration >
Using VoPay's API or Portal, businesses can create payment workflows in order to automate transactions and reduce the manual effort involved in processing funds. Our platform can facilitate the following processes:
- Scheduled Payments: Scheduled sends and collections via API or Portal
- Recurring Payments: Setup regular payouts or collections.
- Split Payments: Split a single transaction into multiple ones, either collect or send.
- Global Cash Management: Convert and manage currencies in your account.
Verify customer bank accounts in real-time using our micro-deposit functionality. Send a small dollar amount to a bank account and have the owner confirm the amount in order to confirm the account is valid and operational.
Setup custom micro verification workflows using our API endpoints, including multi-layer verification capabilities, or using our fully managed solution from our Portal. Currently available in Canada and the US.
Payment Links >
Use eLinx to send or collect funds while retrieving payment information from the customer. A link is sent to the end customer prompting them to accept the request to either collect or send a payment. The customer can then choose to connect their bank account via online banking, or provide their information manually.
eLinx can facilitate payments using the following rails:
- EFT
- Credit Card
