Submission Windows

FedNow operates 24/7/365 with no submission windows or cutoff times. Payments are settled by the Federal Reserve in real-time, typically within seconds.

FedNow transactions are irrevocable once submitted. The receiving financial institution must be enrolled in the FedNow Service to accept payments — if the institution is not enrolled, the transaction will be rejected and funds will be returned.
